Happy Birthday Will!
on April 5, 2011 at 8:40 amMy posts are few and far inbetween but trust me they are worth it!
…okay, maybe not.
Anyway, it’s Will’s birthday don’tchaknow! I was supposed to make a birthday comic for myself but wound up too busy. When I asked him if he wanted one he said “Meh”. I suppose after hitting 21, the next 8 or 9 birthdays don’t matter quite as much. I mean… at 25 you can rent a car. I guess that’s pretty sweet? I’ll probably do that.
The comic book is coming along, and I’ve already lost tons of sleep on it. It’s a satisfying loss, though. It’s a great chance to practice redrawing the same character repeatedly. (Much different from drawing puzzle pieces repeatedly!) The biggest problem is that when I was getting to the later pages I kept looking back at the first and redrawing them… kind of dragging out the process. I have 1 month to digital ink, touch up, and have it ready for print. I’m not terribly worried (but still worried).
We’ll have new tshirts up soon too! I finally got my tukis into gear and slapped together a design. I have a long list of things to do, but I take each one as inspiration strikes.
In other news, I’m rather enjoying being back in class. I’ve been a working artist to some degree for the past 4 years, but I was still required to enroll in a base level class in order to take anything higher. IT’S INFURIATING.

I already inquired as to “testing out”, but apparently it’s not allowed. Sorry, I know many of our readers have done the college dance but it’s so novelty to me that I want to tell everyone about my experience! I mean, come on, homework? How cute!
Am I actually talking to you guys or just treating you like a public diary?
Lemon cookies are back at Paradise Bakery and I couldn’t be happier!
I spend all my time working and drawing so I need to take pleasure in the small things.
Uhm, uhm…. I forget what else to say.
